The Tube is set for mobile coverage

The days of missing tweets, calls and emails while travelling on the London Underground are numbered thanks to a French telecoms firm set to install mobile and broadband connectivity across the entire Tube network.

Alcatel-Lucent is reportedly in talks to install coverage on underground trains, as well as the Tube stations, which are already scheduled to receive wi-fi access later this year.
