London Motorexpo debuts Chrysler 300c
Chrysler's 5 Series rival, the 300c executive saloon will make its UK debut this week at the Canary Wharf Motorexpo, alongside its Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT.
On sale 14 June and starting at £35,995, the Fiat-owned carmaker is launching its 300c in a hugely competitive sector which includes the BMW 5 Series, Audi A6 and Mercedes E-Class.The previous model, discontinued in 2010, cost from just under £30,000 but despite the hike in price, the 300c remains cheaper than other cars in the segment with a high level of equipment as standard. This includes keyless entry, automatic headlights, automatic windscreen wipers and automatic temperature control.
Described as larger, more lavish, safer and better built than ever by Chrysler, the car will run a 3.0-litre V6 236bhp turbodiesel engine with two trims, Limited and Executive.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, the fastest and most powerful Jeep ever built, which will also feature at Motorexpo, is powered by a 6.4-litre V8 461bhp engine which achieves 0-62mph in five seconds and a top speed of 160mph.
Jeep Chrysler brand director Nigel Land said: "Motorexpo is a hugely popular show that draws attendances of up to half-a-million people. It's an ideal venue for us to showcase our two new premium Chrysler and Jeep vehicles."
Motorexpo starts today, Monday 11th and runs until Sunday. Manufacturers include Aston Martin, Bentley, Jaguar, Kia, Land Rover, MINI, Nissan, Rolls Royce and Volvo.
