Thomas Cook appoints new chief

Holidays giant Thomas Cook has appointed an executive from outside the travel industry to lead its turnaround strategy.

Harriet Green, who is currently the boss of Leeds-based electrocomponents distributor Premier Farnell, will take the helm on July 30.
