Bar awards fiasco ends with Diageo apology

A small Scottish brewer hit out on Twitter and its own website after a fiasco at the British Institute of Innkeeping Scotland awards. BrewDog, an Aberdeenshire brewer which also owns seven pubs, took a stand after it believed something odd had happened at the awards over the title of 'Bar Operator of the Year'.

Diageo has released an apology over the incident.
