We've all seen cute pictures drawn by elephants' trunks, but we've never heard one playing a musical instrument. Until now.
A gorgeous pachyderm called Shanthi at the National Zoo in Washington is learning to play the harmonica with her trunk.
Elephant keeper Debbie Flinkman attached a harmonica to Shanthi's stall after noticing that she loves creating noises, from flapping her ears against objects to rubbing her leg up and down shrubs, according to the Telegraph.
Debbie says the Asian elephant, who is mum to 10-year-old Kandula, needs no prompting to play the instrument, and has a tendency to finish her songs in a crescendo.
