Wildly OTT Bugatti 16C Galibier saloon previewed by wildly OTT video

Bugatti has taken to YouTube to remind us that it's still got a million-pound megasaloon on the cards.

The Bugatti 16C Galibier is in some senses the forgotten hypercar, having been unveiled in 2009 to all kinds of hyperbole and fanfare.
It seems Bugatti has spent most of its time since working on special editions of the Veyron, which is fast becoming the world's quickest gravy train. Or gravy boat, in this case.

The Galibier is most easily described as a four-door Veyron, with Bugatti aiming to make it the world's most luxurious saloon, aside from being the fastest and most expensive.

That said, and despite it being bigger than the Veyron (obviously), there's talk of it getting a de-tuned version of the 8.0-litre engine therein, down to around 800bhp; Bugatti will remove the Veyron's four turbos, and in their place put two superchargers.

One of the Galibier's more intriguing little innovations is the inclusion of a Parmigiani clock that can be removed from the dashboard and worn as a wristwatch.
