Want a promotion? Be nice to your boss

It might sound obvious, but new research from recruitment solutions company, Futurestep has found that employees who have a good relationship with their boss have better prospects for promotion, even in the event that they are not suitable for the role.

The research revealed that a poor relationship with superiors and peers is more damaging to a career than lack of intellect.
