Pick of the early market news

Markets yesterday recovered slightly from Monday's brutal downturn. The FTSE 100 climbed almost 44 points higher to 5,709. Man Group (up+ 4.81%) and Aviva (up 4.18%) were the biggest climbers. However Capita and ARM both saw steep falls.

Overnight in the Far East, tech stocks lifted following robust Apple numbers with the Nikkei Stock Average trading 0.8% higher.
