Bugatti Veyron Vitesse - just the 1,200 HP

Updated

The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, to give it its official moniker, has been launched (that's launched in the sense of a rocket to Mars, not in the sense of pulling the covers off a new Proton).

The most powerful production roadster ever built has a new video to celebrate its arrival – it eats the entire Alpine mountain range for a little mid-morning snack. Just before you get too engrossed in the movie, here are some numbers to whet your appetite. In metric terms, it is 1200PS and 1500NM of torque which, in old money, equates to 1,183bhp and 1,106lb ft. That is 196bhp up on the "standard" Veyron, if there is such a thing.
