UK manufacturers give young a swerve

Young people are a pain to hire. You have to spend resources training them up, supervising them and introducing them first-hand to the World of Work. That, at least, appears to be the view of some employers.

They're increasingly hiring more experienced, older workers rather than hire school-leavers, according to a new survey from qualifications body EAL.
