Pick of the early market news
A better day for markets. The FTSE 100 climbed 0.70% to 5,634 points, despite glaring Italian and Spanish debt anxiety. The biggest risers were Hargreaves Lansdown, up 3.78% and Antofagasta, up 3.54%.
The German Dax rose 1.03% while the Dow Jones climbed 0.70%. Overnight in Asia, markets posted slender gains with both the Hang Seng and Nikkei adding 0.2%.
