Which is why we've picked out some of the UK's most beautiful villages - perfect for an idyllic day out - traditional tea rooms, quaint cottages and chocolate box views included.
These villages are all beautiful and well worth a visit if you're holidaying in the UK. Think village greens, cricket pitches, duck ponds, good old fashioned pubs and tea rooms, historical architecture, thatched cottages. We're delighted to say that there are still plenty of places to visit that haven't been ruined by modern life!
Each of these villages are perfect for whiling away an afternoon or two. Nothing disturbs the peace here apart from the odd babbling brook or blackbird song.
