UK sales in slow lane for cab-maker

The maker of the distinctive London taxi has reported a near 10% drop in UK sales as drivers continued to shy away from buying new vehicles amid economic uncertainty.

Coventry-based Manganese Bronze said 1,502 vehicles were sold in the UK in the year to December 31, down on 1,653 the previous year, as trade outside London plummeted.
