Celebrity trivia makes a mess of money

Four times as many Brits read about the economy than about celebrities but those most interested in celebrity gossip are more likely to have their finances in a mess.

That's the result of a survey from research group Mintel, which found that four in 10 (39%) of Brits follow the world news and the economy "a lot", with just one in ten (10%) having no interest whatsoever.
