There's a case in the High Court at the moment, where the owner of one astoundingly expensive flat in London is trying to force the owner of the upstairs flat to lay carpets instead of wooden floors, which it claims are a noise nuisance. The case has been rumbling through the courts and the appeals process since 2010, at great cost and expense for all concerned.
