Pick of the early market news
Despite more Greek default anxiety, the FTSE 100 finished 1.02% up yesterday at 5,931 points. Hedge fund player Man Group saw a 12.68% surge in its shares to 147p, along with Hargreaves Lansdown (up 4.51% to 447p).
Overnight in Asia, share surges continued with the Hong Kong Hang Seng advancing 0.9% while Japan's Nikkei Stock Average climbed 0.7%.
