Audi smashes profit record by selling a car to virtually everyone

Have you noticed that there are loads of Audis tooling around recently? That's because Audi appears to have sold rather a lot of them, 1.3 million worldwide, and as a result made 5.3 billion euros pre-tax profit.

In 2011 Audi did very well pretty much across the board, upping its number of vehicles delivered by 19.2% (210,000) to 1,302,659. Which is... lots.
