Denise Welch has had a traumatic few weeks, so it's no surprise that she decided to treat herself to a relaxing sunshine break.

And judging by the snaps that she posted on Twitter, the actress and Loose Women presenter had a great time on family holiday in the Canary Islands.

The Daily Mail reported that Denise, 53, posted a picture of herself inside the mouth of a whale slide in the children's pool of her resort.

As she uploaded the picture she wrote: "I think I may have discovered pool fun!"

Denise tweeted that she was due back from her holiday on Saturday after a week-long break with her ten-year-old son, Louis.
