Fewer small firms access bank loan

The number of small businesses using a bank overdraft or loan has fallen in the past two years despite moves aimed at increasing lending, a new study has revealed.

A survey of more than 11,000 members of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) showed that just over one in three used an overdraft last year and only one in 10 secured a bank loan.
