BAFTA sucess for Senna

Asif Kapdia's biopic on the legendary 80's Formula One driver Ayrton Senna might have been around since last summer, but it keeps on picking up prizes, despite being overlooked for Best Documentary at this year's Oscars.

This time it was a home-grown success at last night's BAFTA awards, with Senna winning Best Documentary and Best Editing at the event in the Royal Opera House in London.
According to a report in the Huff Post, Kapadia had admitted to being disappointed to not make the Oscar list.

He also revealed that he wasn't an F1 fan really, as thus this film was made for more than fans of the sport.

He explained: "We realised it would have to be about a person. And Senna had an otherworldly quality, this incredible charisma."
