Pick of the early market news

oon-to-be-wed Xstrata and Glencore International led the falls yesterday, sliding -4.88% and -3.80% respectively. The FTSE 100 finished the day at 5,890, just -0.03% down, though it had spent the majority of the day in the red.
The Dow Jones finished a smidge higher at 12,878, 0.26% higher. Toyota earnings have helped the Nikkei, along with other Japanese car makers.
