Pork is saving your bacon, if latest sales prices are to be believed. Hard-up British consumers are switching to pork given the rising price of lamb and beef.

Pork-processor Cranswick - its shares lifted almost 1.5% yesterday - claims sales in the last three months of 2011 were 10% higher on the year before. But is all about saving money?
