Video of the day: Dancing flight attendants for India's Republic Day

Passengers on a flight from Helsinki to Delhi were treated to a dance show from the cabin crew in celebration of India's Republic day. The crew danced to Bollywood-style numbers and have become an instant internet hit.

The routine took weeks to practice, so it's a good job the passengers were appreciative. They even joined in with the singing (the words were displayed on their entertainment screens).

Finnair flight attendant Helena Kaartinen organised the stunt after coming up with the idea, reports the Daily Mirror.

She filmed rehearsals and then uploaded them to a Facebook group so a former colleague and Bollywood instructor in Mumbai could give them tips on how to improve the routine.

She said: "It was a good way to show respect."
