Perfume sales boost profits at Boots

Boots enjoyed a festive boost, thanks to buoyant perfume sales, showing that pampering products remain popular even in times of austerity.

Underlying sales at the health and beauty chain increased by more than 3% during December, according to the retailer's Christmas trading figures.
