QualComm offers cash for Star Trek inventions

Electronics company QualComm is offering $10m (£6.5m) to anyone who can invent a medical tricorder like the ones seen on the original Star Trek in the sixties. It unveiled the competition at the Computer Electronics Show in Last Vegas, although it's not yet clear just how many takers there will be.
