Low-cost hotel chain Travelodge will create 1,000 jobs this year by opening 41 new sites across Britain.

This year's £250 million expansion will take its number of hotels to 537 this year, in an 'aggressive growth plan' that will see 1,100 new hotels open by 2025, according to the Mirror.

Eleven of the new hotels site will be based in London and done on time for this year's Olympics.

Other sites include Edinburgh, Liverpool, Chester, Sunderland, and Bradford.

Recruitment started this week, with the company saying they are looking for "enthusiastic, motivated and committed individuals who want a long-term career in hospitality".

Posts include managers, receptionists, housekeepers, cleaners and bar staff.

There are also 120 places on their junior management programme, which the company has launch to get unemployed youths into work.
