Brad Pitt walks with a cane after skiing accident

Just a few days ago Brad Pitt was snapped walking with a cane at the 23rd Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala.

And now he has revealed that he suffered a leg injury as a result of a fall on a ski slope.

Brad is thought to be suffering from a torn medial collateral ligament after he fell and twisted his knee when he was carrying one of his twins.

At the ceremony Brad was presented with the Desert Palm Achievement Award for his work in the films Moneyball and The Tree of Life.

He used the cane to balance as he made his way along the red carpet and shook hands with waiting fans.

Angelina told OK! Magazine USA that Brad fell because he was trying to protect daughter Vivienne from hurting herself.

She said: "Everything becomes such a huge thing doesn't it? Vivi's okay. She was absolutely fine. He took the fall. It was just to make sure.

"When Maddox was younger, I took a fall and cracked my elbow because I wanted to make sure he wasn't injured."

And she said that Brad's not taking it easy until he recovers.

"He's not that kind of guy," she says. "He does everything still. I like the cane!"
