Plane flips over on landing - and every passenger survives

Every passenger on a plane that flipped over upon landing has miraculously survived.

The Soviet-built Tupolev Tu-134 passenger jet crash-landed in deep fog in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, today.

Kyrgyzstan's Health Ministry said the jet was carrying 82 passengers and six crew when it got into trouble in deep fog at the airport of the southern city of Osh.

The plane, operated by a Kyrgyz carrier, broke its wing, overturned and caught on fire, injuring at least 31 passengers.

According to the Washington Post, emergency services put out the blaze straight away, and evacuated 82 passengers and six crew members.

The Daily Mail reported that an airport spokesman told Russian state news agency RIA Novosti: "The landing was performed in thick fog.

"The plane skidded off the runway and turned to the left side. Its wing was smashed off. A loud explosion was heard."

The Prime Minister is thought to be heading to Osh to investigate what happened.
