Sony apologises as hand-held fails

Sony has started selling its new hand-held gaming gadget, the PlayStation Vita (PS Vita to its friends, pictured here and looking remarkably like an even slimmer-line version of the PSP Slim) in Japan - and had huge amounts of complaints. It's had to put an apology on its website and early signs are that even if you take the complaints out of the equation it's not going to be the success the Nintendo 3DS was at its launch.
