Plastic fantastic! Polar bear cub gets stuck into his new birthday toy

Talk about a bear with a sore head... Young Milak the polar bear cub was given a red plastic tube and a yellow rugby-style ball as presents for his birthday,

And the lively cub loves to put the tube on his head and use it to scoop up his new 'egg', in an innovative new ball game.

Sussi Kober of the Aalburg Zoo in Denmark said: "He got the new ball as a gift for his birthday from some of his fans.

"He is extremely fond of the egg and considers it to be his own special golden egg.

"His mum Victoria sometimes puts her paw on it, but Milak doesn't like that. He gets the egg back and starts to show off what he's able to do with it.

"He used to try and catch a white plastic container by putting a tube on his head and diving at it, but now the golden egg is the target for his fun. He is a real artist."

It seems polar bear cubs at the Aalburg Zoo can be a little bit mischievous, as we saw when little Augo got a good telling off from his mum just last week.
