OFT to investigate rip-off car insurance prices

The Office of Fair Trading is to investigate insurance firms' use of third-party vehicle repairs and vehicle replacement companies.

The OFT has found that insurance prices rose by nine percent during the first three quarters of 2011, while they rose around 12 percent between 2009 and 2010.
