Yee haw: last surviving stunt Charger from Dukes of Hazzard for sale

Dukes of Hazzard Charger
Fancy owning a bit of car chase history that comes complete with the original dents?

Well, the one surviving original Stunt Dodge Charger, otherwise known as The General Lee from the hit 1980s TV show, Dukes of Hazzard, is up for auction in California.
Expected to make £40,000, this Charger or Screen General Lee 13 (SGL13) as it was known, was driven in action and jump sequences by professional stunt drivers on the show.

Bought by a stuntman after the Dukes of Hazzard finished, it's a lucky survivor, as an estimated 256 identical Chargers were used and trashed over the course of the 141 episodes.

This General Lee has received some restoration work, but the stunt damage remains. This includes a bent under bonnet area, a dent in the driver's side and the panel below the windscreen is far from straight.

Still, I think Bo and Luke Duke would approve.
