Fed up of getting stuck next to the most annoying passenger on the plane? Always harboured a fantasy of meeting your dream partner while your whizzing through the sky?

Well, one airline is offering a solution to the lottery that is air travel - by allowing passengers to pick their seat-mates on Facebook.

Netherlands carrier KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is offering a 'meet and seat' service that will link travellers' Facebook and LinkedIn profiles allowing them to check out their fellow passengers and select them based on similar interests, or by how attractive they find them.

The 'dating service' will be available all passengers, but those that aren't keen on sky-high match-making can opt not to make their public profile available, according to news.com.au
