What have unions ever done for us?

Trade union membership is down yet the pay of bosses is up. Does this make unions less relevant than ever or does the media do its best to make us think so?

Perhaps it's not so much "lions led by donkeys", as unions were once described, but lions led by fat cats. Have overpaid union leaders and the wasteful bureaucracies of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) given trade unions a bad name?
