Fuel costs 'a life and death issue'

Pensioners face a "catastrophic" winter because of the Government's refusal to boost the annual fuel allowance, MPs have been told.

The decision to limit the yearly handout to £200 for those aged over 60 and £300 for those aged 80 and above will lead to more deaths, the Democratic Unionist Party claimed.
