How just one speeding ticket can cost you almost £700

Research by RoadPilot has shown that an insurance premium can rise by a whopping 24 percent if a driver is issued just one speeding conviction with three penalty points.

In some cases it amounted to £158 on a yearly premium. So, for the four-year period that the points last, plus the initial £60 fine, the cost can be £692.
