A superyacht worth £100 million owned by Britain's richest woman took to the water for the first time this weekend in Plymouth.

The boat, called Vava II, is owned by power couple Kirsty Bertarelli - a former Miss UK - and her Swiss billionaire husband Ernesto Bertarelli.

The boat has been under construction in Pymouth for the last two years, and was finally revealed as onlookers headed to the Devon harbour to take photos.

And it definitely offered onlookers the wow factor, boasting a helipad, six decks, a fold-down beach club, a pool that can cater its depth to guests' preferences, elegant guest cabins and four boats to carry passengers to shore.

It took 200 workers to create the amazing vessel at the Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth.

Kirsty and Ernesto, who has twice won the America's Cup yacht race and is worth a reported £6.8 billion, now live in Switzerland, and their boat will be delivered to the country in February.

Captain Brendan O'Shannassy told the Daily Mail: 'To have such a ground breaking construction unveiled in Plymouth should make the region justly proud.'
