FAILway: vital road projects shelved while 'low value' rail link considered

Government cost-cutting has seen 96 vital road improvement projects cancelled or shelved - despite the fact that all will prove far greater value than the 'HS2' London-Midlands high speed rail link currently being proposed, and cost a fraction to implement.

The UK's road network will become significantly more congested unless the Government starts to invest properly, says a new RAC report called Keep The Nation Moving.
