Bah Humbug! Nearly one in three families will turn Scrooge this year because they cannot afford Christmas in austerity Britain.

Legal & General's MoneyMood Survey shows that three out of 10 (31%) of UK households say they will spend less on Christmas this year, with more than half (51%) the rest expecting to restrict their spending to no more than last year.
