Qualifying: Vettel beats Hamilton in pole thriller

Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel delivered a real thriller in the battle for pole position in Abu Dhabi. Ultimately, Sebastian Vettel was to secure his 14th pole of the 2011 season, thereby equalling Nigel Mansell's longstanding record. Lewis Hamilton missed out by the tiniest of fractions – just 15 hundredths of a second. Jenson Button took third place ahead of Mark Webber and Fernando Alonso. Completing the Top Ten were Felipe Massa, Nico Rosberg, Michael Schumacher, Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta.
