Pick of the early market news

Despite the gripping Greek drama, the FTSE 100 moved north yesterday, encouraged by the European Central Bank's decision to slash interest rates by 25 basis points to 1.25%. It finished the day at 5,546, 62 points up. Stand-out performers included Invensys which saw shares rally 7%, and Cable and Wireless, whose shares accelerated 11% on the back of storming six-month revenues.
