Restaurants offer £135m of discounts

Restaurants hit by the economic slowdown are doing their best to tempt cash-strapped diners by offering an incredible £135 million of discounts every week.

The Dining Index from Livebookings, which has analysed data from over 9,000 restaurants worldwide, also reveals that the strategy appears to be working, with many consumers eating out more.
