Drink driving doesn't necessarily mean a ban

With Christmas just around the corner, the usual clampdown on drink drivers will be big news. And while you might assume that an automatic driving ban is the default penalty, statistics from the Ministry of Justice suggest otherwise.

Last year, 1,480 of the 55,539 motorists convicted of drink driving were not banned.
