Beware 'best buy' savings tricks

UK banks and building societies are resorting to every trick under the sun to get their savings accounts into the best-buy tables - a bit like supermarkets conning shoppers with their price tricks.

A number of savings accounts have been launched in recent weeks that pay top rates of 3.2% interest (2.56% after basic rate tax is deducted).
