Yesterday's FTSE 100 climbed higher as many investors continued to pin hopes on a eurozone debt crisis. The blue chip index finished 59 points higher at 5,548 points, thanks also to the help of better-than-expected Chinese data and strong mining - metals rallied harder across the board - results. Markets now have a tense wait before the Brussels summit, with the eurozone crisis now increasingly shifting its emphasis to Italy.
