Ian Brown avoids getting banned, keeps band

After sensationally announcing the second greatest comeback in music history, Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown is already using his band's reformation to good effect: helping him keep his driving licence.

The crafty singer was facing a lengthy ban after being caught speeding at 105mph on the M6, but was let off after telling Cheshire magistrates that being without his car would scupper the Stone Roses' massive comeback tour.
