Derek Warwick, the President of the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC), has expressed his sadness at the death of British IndyCar Champion Dan Wheldon, describing the double Indy 500 winner as a 'great talent'.

Wheldon, who was competing in the Las Vegas Indy 300 as part of a $5 million challenge to win the race, had started from the back of the 34-car field and was moving his way through the pack when he was fatally injured in a 15-car crash.
