Toyota returning to Le Mans with hybrid power

When Toyota last hit Le Mans, Tony Blair was in government, the Spice Girls were a ginger down and Will Smith was still a rapper. It was 1999 and Toyo's GT-One made its last lap of La Sarthe, marking the end of the brand's association with the event. And setting a new race lap record at the same time.

That was over a decade ago. Since then Will Smith's given up rapping and sticks to being awesome, Geri sung with the Spice Girls once more, the Tories are in power (stop groaning in the back) and Toyota is headed back to the Mulsanne straight with a new racer. That happens to be... a hybrid?!
