England's football team are the second best in the world – at least when it comes to the value of the team's kit deal. A study by specialist website Sporting Intelligence finds England's £26m a year deal with Umbro is bettered only by France's £37m a year deal with Nike. The enduring appeal of purchasing the shirt with the three lions comes in spite of the fact that the team have not won a major trophy since 1966 or passed a major semi-final stage since 1996.
