Liverpool FC break ranks on TV rights

Liverpool FC's managing director Ian Ayre has kicked off a bit of a storm by suggesting his club should be allowed to sell its own international TV rights. His comments have provoked a storm of criticism but, says football constant Alex Fynn, there is a great irony contained within this criticism. Because the arguments for more equitable distribution of football's wealth may be undermining the very chances of that ever happening.
